Yea i have noticed problems with www.keepvid.com not being able to extract the vids,etc....

There is one way THEY CANT STOP and thats letting the file DL as your watching it and then moving it and coverting it to a different format... (www.mediaconverter.org is excellent)

Real Video Downloader still works but you have to use IE.

This freeware program has a decent YouTube downloader and so much more.

you can also use Jdownloader do a full install of program.
Have the program running, open your browser at Youtube,
select a video to watch and right click on the video.
select copy video url, go to link grabber tab in Jdownloader

you will be given ALL the links for the video MP4, FLV, MP3 and all video sizes 1080p down to 240p usually

Even if KeepVid shouldn't work anymore, there will always be multiple other ways to download from YT. So I am not worried.
