System: Windows XP Home
Browser: IE 8 and I use Google for games

Both browsers are freezing up (especially Google) and takes several minutes to release itself and at times I have to shut it down at the tower. The programs are slow to load (if they even load at all) with programs like Word refusing to close. I have to use task manager most of the time to close the browsers and Word. A lot of times I can't open Malware Bytes or AVG's control panel.

Today I noticed two of my Word documents (I have saved to my desktop) are showing as open and I hadn't used them. I have 2 administrators assigned to the computer for quite some time, (I'll call them AD1 and AD2), and I get 'accessed denied' error with AD1 when I try to open system volume folder. I tried AD2 and I can access the system folders through AD2, but there isn't any difference in performance.

I use Google for Facebook games and continuously have multiple (back-to-back) shockwave failures and freezing. A five minute session can take up to 20 minutes, due to the freezing and failures. I tried Googles Ingonito to turn off extensions, and there's no difference.

I just updated Malware Bytes and ran a fresh log. It came back 'no malicous software'. AVG Free comes back clean also.

I'm not new to computers, but I definitely need help with this.

Do I post the MBAM log here or somewhere else?

Thanks
