What do you mean "devices"? Is it from the Windows Explorer? Have you checked it under device management?

Have you tried to plug it into other usb ports? With an external hard drive they could need a usb 2 or 3 to work. For example my Dazzle didn't run with my two 3.0 ports but in my 2.0 it worked like a charm.

in that case did you update the drivers for your usb slots? I have no idea what that would do, but it's worth a shot.

Hi,

1. is the drive windows format rather than apple format. if it is formatted for apple windows will not see it.
2. Right click on Computer and pick manage, then go to disk management. What does that show for the drive under file system? If it says the drive need to be initialized, read # 3.
3. Is there anything on the drive that you would hate to lose? If so do nothing beyond report.

Thanks
Roger

If it is showing as unallocated then use the guide below

Ok then you'll need to follow this guide

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/setup-hard-drive-windows/
or in disk management
Right click on the unallocated drive, Right-click on the blank empty space to create a new partition by choosing New Simple Volume.

then You may or may not have to right click again to choose format.

Good Luck
Roger

Can you post a picture of the disk management. You did say there was nothing on that drive you cared about?
