I repeatedly have tried to restore a large (and important) backup I made sometime ago. The first time it actually started to backup but I aborted it
because I wanted to eliminate some audio files. When I tried to restore again (and again and again) After 6 seconds I get the message "Unexpected
end to backup" followed by the name of the backup file. I get the impression that the system seems to think it completes the backup
but I may be dead wrong. Puzzling. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks much,

Hapless Hugh

Hi -
Are you backing up Internally, to an external drive, or to a CD or USB stick ??

Thanks -

I'm replying to m own post a few minutes ago just to keep the thread going. Now I get "serious error ondisk" (even more foreboding). What does one do now, commit suicide :-)?

Well...the utility of the backup seems to be in question...or the reliability of your hard drive.

Had you ever tested this backup?

What software was used to make it?
