I have Comody Firewall Defense+ running and I received a warning about vlc.exe attempting to modify C:\windows\system32\catroot. I was not paying attention and I allowed the action. It then attempted to modify C:\windows\system32\catroot2\dberr.txt. I also allowed this. This happened a short time (not immediately) after vlc was unable to play a video file I downloaded. I am concerned the video file may have had a virus. Should I be concerned about vlc modifying the catroot directory? Thanks in advance!
