I am running Win 7 Pro SP1.

When I shut down, Win 7 is telling me it is installing 5 updates.

When I turn it on, it takes a long time, then it tells me it is configuring updates.

I have run the fix updates function in Windows, but it says the errors are fixed, but they aren't.

Never had such a problem with Windows before.

Do I have to reinstall Win 7, or is there something else I can do?

Windows updates in Windows 7 << Visit this page for directions on installing updates.
Do not select Custom Updates, and only install them one at a time -
