Yesterday my computer was infected by a virus that gave a system message write fault error. I have removed the virus with malwarebytes and used unhide.exe as well as changing setting in control panel. when I used unhide.exe it brought back my task bar and programs are viewable there, but I can't see shortcuts or files on my desktop and I can't create any new shortcut(icons). Any help with this would be appreciated.
