Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone here has any issues or things they found they didn't like, such as slow computer etc, after they updated their macbook pro from Snow Leopard to Lion.

Keep in mind that I'm not referring to Apple's newest OS, Mountain Lion, but the one before it 'Lion'. Where they come up with these unoriginal names beats me.

I've been searching online on google, but no matter which way I phrase my question, google always brings up topics about updating to Mountain Lion.

Thanks.

Here is one link worth looking at with advice on what to do to prepare for upgrading:

Excerpt: ......be warned that Apple’s OS X updates tend to break some applications — and in the case of Lion, which deprecates some older Apple machines, you even need to make sure your hardware is supported before you run the installation........

Hey - I've heard from many people that Lion is a bit of a dud and they've had better luck with Mountain Lion, but I don't know any specifics.

FWIW, if you need more resources than the one listed above - I searched for "upgrade snow leopard to lion -mountain" and the minus in front of mountain seems to be pretty good at purging 10.8 hits from the results. May also try looking for "upgrade to 10.7" to avoid the similar names issue.

Good luck with you big kitties!
Jeana
