a huge challange

I need some help, i offered to help my chinese take away owner fix her laptop, it basically just needs a fresh install i presume, but i am struggling with getting it from chinese back to english haha (think i bit off more than i can chew with this one) i can not read any of the menus, and it just keeps saying system 32 etc so i presume its just bleeped. i am trying to put xp on it, it was vista, but i am having no joy when inserting a disk, any suggestions?

Make sure she doesn't want any data backed up?
The ask her if she made the recovery DVD set?
Then find out if she would be OK with a English windows on that computer?

I would at least put Vista back on it. You will be doing her no favor going back to Xp with someone that is used to Vista. You can order the recovery disks from Toshiba.

You might also research how to get to the recovery partition. I had to do something similar with a Korean Language Samsung recently. The comparing the Korean recovery screens to the English version of the manual I was able to do a full recovery.

Those first three questions need to be asked of the owner.
