I saw that you covered this topic but wasn't completely understanding.

I was unable to get into Chrome and so I deleted it and reinstalled it keeping my bookmarks et al which I need.

When I use RKILL now after opening Chrome it kills all my running windows etc.

The log is below:

When I use the website Virustotal you mentioned in another post, it continues onwards and tells me that I have scanned there before which I had not and then it seems continuous. The comments below talk about google unbelievably being malware etc....

I admit to not being that tech savvy. Do I have anything still to worry about? Is this false positive? Positive? Is there something still on the computer that is infected. The Chromesetupfile that is in programs google was downloaded from Google.

Many thanks for a simple explanation.

All the best,

Chadguy

As RKill only terminates a program's running process, and does not delete any files
After running it you should not reboot your computer as any malware processes that are configured to start automatically will just be started again.
Instead, after running RKill you should immediately scan your computer using some sort of anti-malware or anti-virus program so that the infections can be properly removed.

It seems you're running old version of RKILL

07/30/12: Rkill version 2.0 is released.
This version contains many new features. These features can be found below.

Chrome is no longer terminated.
