Red X Through Wireless Icon

The wireless icon on the lower right of my computer near the time (sorry, don't know what that area is called) has a large red x through it indicating no wireless connection. Yet, I have a wireless connection and am posting this question via that wireless connection. Why the red x? Thanks.

Open your device manager then scroll down to network adpaters expand the tree then right click your wireless driver select uninstall then reboot.Problem should be solved.
