Display driver problems

About every 5-10 minutes my screen goes black and then has to sort of re-position itself. Once it's back to normal I get a balloon message (screenshot below) saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows Vista® stopped responding and has successfully recovered." If I have Chrome open it stops working properly and if I try to switch tabs it will keep the same tab open but it won't respond and it just goes really weird. If I open a new tab the webpage opens as a white screen. However if I restart the browser it's fine again. I'm not quite sure where the problem lies..
