Hi helper!
Got infected by a bunch of many kind of virus, trojan and spyware. I've scan with AdAware,Norton,Spybot,Bazooka,Stinger some got out, but other keep on reactivating themself as i reboot. I've try to fix some with Hijackthis but Only Surf SideKick3 can't be remove. And when i scan with Bazooka, it keep telling me i'm infest with Exploit hiconvert.com. I've got pop-up coming and the best part of those pop-up is that they actualy ask me to do a scan with error-safe and close my Internet Explorer if a say no or cancel to the scan. You bet i'm gonna scan my PC with an anti-virus that is using the very thing that it's suppose to remove!!!!
Norton got rid of something like VCClient.exe in the package

Here is my log:

Hello and welcome to the forum. Please follow the instructions carefully in the following tutorial.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/9549/how-to-remove-surfsidekick-2-or-3-and-vcclient/

Return to this same topic and post a new HJT log and I will see if anything is left to do.

Thanks...pskelley

You tell him his daddy is a spyware warrior  Thanks to grinler and his excellant tutorial, we only have two more items that look like they are hiding and may not be part of the initial infection?

To clean the last junk out, let's do this:

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [keyboard] C:\\keyboard1.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mousepad] C:\\mousepad1.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\\keyboard1.exe >>> file

C:\\mousepad1.exe >>> file

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_...refetch-XP.html

If you don't have a good cleaner, use this one with these instuctions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Post one last HJT log to make sure the junk is gone, and I will have great information to help you stay clean and safe.

Thanks...Phil for your son >>> :flowers:

See this information: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...r%5F2%5F5%2Eexe
So it appears Zone Alarm is doing it's job. Once you know you have allowed the programs needed to run the computer access to the internet via ZA, you can have ZA block hits on the firewall without asking you. There is an excellant tutorial at
Right click ZA > Overview Tab > Status tab > right side near the top > Flash Tutorial click here.

Your HJT log is clean  here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Safe surfing...Phil :flowers:
