I've been trying to clean the above trojan off my mother's (win xp) PC. I've downloaded/run Malwarebytes AM, which removed the files (I saved the log if it would help). The symptoms seemed to go away. A couple of days later I was told that the symptoms were back. I came back over to find Norton Internet Security wanting to clean an infected boot record, which I did.

Again, the symptoms seem to have gone away but I am left wondering if something is still lurking. Can someone take a look and let me know what else I should do?

DDS log follows. I tried downloading GMER but it gave me some weird EXE file names in the download. I got 2 different names from 2 different download attempts, the last of which is v9gwr8x9.exe. That seemed odd to me so I haven't even tried running the exe's.
