I am doing some clean up on a friends computer and I have apparently caused an issue with their wireless connection. They have an out of date version of McAfee running on the computer, and asked for that to be removed and install another free AV. I was having issues uninstalling McAfee and ran Revo uninstaller tool to remove it. Since then I am no longer able to connect to either of my (2) wireless routers, other then local only access.

I have attempted to re-install the wireless card driver which did not fix the problem. I also restored back to a previous restore point prior to uninstalling McAfee and that did not fix the issue either.

I am able to connect just fine to both of my wireless routers as I am connected right now typing this out. I have tested both wireless router connections with 2 other laptops, an iPad, and iPod touch without a problem.

Make and model of computer : Dell Studio 1735 Laptop

How the computer is connected : Wireless

Make and model of Router : Linksys WRT310N v2 and Netgear N600 WNDR3400

Approximate Distance From the router the PC is if its a wireless connection : 25 feet to both

What type of internet you have (Dsl, Cable, T-1,etc..) DSL 5Mbps / 25Mbps

I was able to get this resolved by doing the following. This post can be closed.

Reset the TCP/IP Stack:
Go to the Start Menu, type cmd and right click or (Ctrl + Shift and hit Enter), and select "Run As Administrator"
Type the following commands, each followed by pressing enter.

ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset all
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
