I just discovered Adobe Bridge in my program files although it doesn't show up in add/remove programs on the control panel. I would like to delete this but don't know how to do it. The list for adobe on my program files/control panel are:
Adobe Air
Adobe Flash Player Active x
Adobe Flash Player Plugin
Adobe Help Centre 2.1
Adobe Reader x (10.1.3)
Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6

I haven't a clue where Adobe Bridge came from as I have not previously installed Photoshop or other Adobe programs on my computer.

Just where do you see this folder...what is the path? Are there any contents in the folder? If so, please list the filenames.

I'm sorry but don't see how this is going to help me. I don't have CS4 or 5 or Photoshop installed on my computer.

Are you saying that your system has never had any of the programs listed there...installed?

Folders are often left behind when applications are uninstalled.

I don't remember installing the Adobe programs connected with this but I have just looked at some of the files and they are dated 2005 so there is a distinct possibility that I have but I have forgotten. Would I have to find what the installed Adobe program was to delete Adobe Bridge and if so, how would I do this?

with all the other adobe programs you have install whats one more going to hurt ,even seems it has a purpose .as shown in some of the other links
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/uninstall/2777/Adobe-Bridge-1.0.html

perhaps it not install yet ,what happens if you click on the bridge, exe file in that folder
also check the Bridge104.txt file see if it has any info on unstall

Frankly...when I become concerned about such folders...I just delete them.

Of course, that does nothing for the registry entries for such and, if I'm concerned, I manually delete those.

I go on these types of file/registry excursions...maybe once every 2-3 years, since I don't think they are worth the trouble. If no problems are caused by such, I leave them where they are.

Well...deleting a folder that is an orphan...is not the same as uninstalling a program that is properly reflected in Add/Remove Programs. If the program were listed as installed...yes, uninstall it. The fact is...the OP is looking at a folder that relates to a program that may have been uninstalled...and said folder has no obvious impact on programsx as listed by the OP.

As I said...this sort of thing happens every day, whether files or registry entries.

I focus upon such only if it creates a disturbance with system functioning properly.
