Recently I've been getting the BSOD and I'm not really sure what to do. I haven't had any today but it occurred twice yesterday and a few times the day before. So far I haven't seen a pattern of what's causing it so I thought someone would be able to help solve the problem.

Where do I start and what information is needed to find out what's causing the problem?

Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

Are you running ESET? If so, either upgrade it to the latest release or uninstall it and replace it with a different Anti Virus app and let's see what happens.

I've scanned my computer and no signs of a virus and the last hardware I've installed was early this year. I'm guessing it could be due to software but I haven't been keeping tabs on what I've been installing and I'm also not the only one who uses my computer. Is there any way to tell what the latest installs are?

Yes, I'm running ESET. Could this be the cause and do you have any alternate free good anti virus software I could use in the meantime?

Edit: Just checked and uninstalled Google Drive since I've installed it on the 21/07/12. Will keep an eye out to see if it happens again.

I paid for ESET as well...

Will uninstalling it and reinstalling it again help?

I don't know. You can try - make sure you have the latest version. You can also contact THEIR support folks and send them a copy of the blue screen view report you posted above.

I've reinstalled ESET to it's latest update and will keep an eye out to see if I get another BSOD.
