My computer performance is low. Do you know how to increase your computer performance? Please tell me how to increase computer performance. I think my computer performance is very low. The song or voice and action are not perfect when I watch movies.

Hello and Welcome -
First download Speed Test and wait as it fully loads
Only click on the Begin Test in the middle of the screen and DO NOT click on any other promotions / advertising on the page -

Wait for the program to finish and post the Ping / Download / Upload results back here once it has finished

Please list your Anti virus and any / all other Antimalware programs that you have installed

You could list the Make and Model of computer, and post a snapshot with Speccy as this may give us a bit more to look at -

i have never seen so many ways to ask the same question ,lol

The song or voice and action are not perfect when I watch movies.


a very familiar problem with downloaded movies ,does this happen with retail moves as well as downloaded movies

My answers are my opinion only,usually

Do the Following Steps.

1) Managed the start up items and removed unwanted Items from the Start up

  • Please press the Windows key and R key on your keyboard together.
  • Now you will get a Run window. In that run window please type MSCONFIG and press on Enter.
  • Now you can see a System Configuration Utility Window.
  • Go to the Tab Start Up and remove the Unwanted Items from there... Please keep the items related with Wirelss, Antivirus Software, Keyboard, touch screen etc

(Run->MSCONFIG->Start Up)


2) Checked the Task Manager for the running processes & killed the unwanted processes (Press on the Alt+Crtl+Delete key on the keyboard. Now you will get a new window called Task Manager. )

3) Removed unwanted program from add/remove programs

  • Please press the Windows key and R key on your keyboard together.
  • Now you will get a Run window. In that run window please type APPWIZ.CPL and press on Enter.
  • Now you can see a list of programs installed on the computer. Remove the Unwanted programs from there.

4) Disabled/Removed the toolbars from IE/Fire fox
  • Tools--> Add Ons --> Remove the unwanted ones from there.
5) Emptied Recycle bin
6) Ran the Desktop clean up wizard
7) Set the virtual memory to - Initial size - 512 MB and Maximum size - 1024 MB
8) Disabled the unwanted services (MSCONFIG->Services)
9) Cleared Temp files - Temp & %temp% or Ran the disk clean up

  • Run-- >temp
  • Run-- >%temp%
  • Run-- >prefetch
  • Run-- >cleanmgr

10) Set the IE cache size to 80 MB
11) Set the Recycle bin size to 3% from available
12) Initiated the disk defragmentation


If it is still slow you have to do one thing.

Open the Task Manager (Press on Control, Alt and Delete Key together)
Now press on the tab process. Now sort the items using Memory Usage.
Now you can see one SVCHOST.exe is taking lots if Memory. Right click on that one and select Kill process tree.

Now it will restart the computer. Now work on the computer it will be fine now.

Don't forgot to remove all of the Unwanted programs from the MSCONFIG
