Hi :) I am getting a new laptop tomorrow, and I have the choice between a Dell m5040 and a asus X53U-SX173V. Could anybody please tell me which is a better value for money? Thank you.

Edited to add:

Just saw this template -

My budget for the new computer is: £300

What are the primary uses for this computer (IE: mail, web browsing, programming, games, etc)? Browsing, watching shows, mail

What software do you intend on using on the computer? Windows 7, Word, Gimp, Nero

Do you play games? If so, what type of games? Java games for kids

Do you tend to have a lot of programs running at the same time, or do you close every program when you are done using it?

Lots of programs running

Do you store a lot of pictures or music on the computer?

A good bit

I would get the Asus laptop because it's a lot more reliable then the Dell and it has nicer speakers.
