Ok I am very new to forums (first time I posted anything) as it is and am very sorry if I posted in the wrong section. I know this problem has happened to other people but I think my case is a little different. The virus I have doesn't redirect me every time. It redirects about 10%-20% of my google searches.

I tried fixing the problem by downloading Malwarebytes. It didn't find anything. So I uninstalled and downloaded Hitman Pro which found some program called "services.exe" and tracking cookies. The problem went away for a day then reappeared. So I ran Hitman Pro and it just removed tracking cookies. The problem was still there.

I currently have Microsoft Security Essentials as my virus protection program (didn't detect anything) and use CCleaner and Deffragler every week

You're infected with ZeroAccess rootkit.
This will require elevated help.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

Thank you for helping me so far! I have posted the logs in Google Redirecting Me.

If you don't mind can you answer two questions here:

Is the BSOD part of the virus because I get that after about 40 minutes and have to manually restart my computer?

How did I catch this virus (was it a site, email, etc.)?

We won't know until your computer is declared clean.

There is no way to say how you got infected.
There are so many ways....
