I know that if you pay 4.99 a month, you can get those removed. However, I do not wish binding too much with Spotify just yet, as I want to see what kind of a creature the coming iCloud is first.

In short - a good way to block these adds (they would appear on every three songs played or so), if at all possible?

I have read some stuff on the internet with changing the proxy server to a country which does not yet support Spotify audio tracks (this solution does not remove the adds - not with the proxy addresses cited anyways).

Also another, even bigger issue which is quite similar: YouTube. While, I respect and love YouTube, they are getting absolutely annoying with their adds - sometimes it is worse than watching MTV (there is no regulation for the length of adds on YouTube)!

Anything you can share on that front too? How to get rid of those YouTube ads?

I recommend using Adblock Plus, it's an add-on for firefox/chrome.

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

Yes. It is really pretty annoying, that is why we developed a software to remove these ads while a video is playing on the background http://download.cnet.com/Block-Youtube-Ads/3000-7786_4-75742538.html. Work wells with Firefox and Chrome too.
Try it out and let me know your thoughts.
