Hi

I've just upgraded from Office 2007 to 2010. I've found that Excel sometimes tends to really struggle with large spreadsheets and Task manager sometimes shows that it's using over 1,000,000 memory. Is this normal? It gets to the stage where it freezes my PC.

I have 2gb memory

Windows 7
Intel Core i3
540@3.07GHz
64-bit

Outlook also seems extremely greedy.

I received a message on my screen today also regarding saving my programmes due to lack of memory. I thought that 2GB would be ample?

I also seem to have 8 instances of Google Chrome running (taking up about 150,000k memory) although I only have one page open. Normal?

Many thanks.

the 2 gig is ram ,ram is for helping with opening files ,,memory needed for saving files is hard drive memory ,how big is you hard drive and how much space is available

the 1,ooo,ooo[=1 gig approximately ] would be using half of the 2gig you have ,to run the program . with your computer specs i would suggest your computer should have at least 4gig of ram

cant answer you google chrome question as i don't use chrome sorry

Do you have alot of extensions+tabs open

each process is a tab or extension or plugin

Go to Wrench>Tools>Task Manager to see what its high usage are or is

I would say that is normal for chrome

What chrome version do you have?
