Are you sure you made the DVD in a format that the DVD player can play?

Or it might just be that your DVD player can't handel burned DVD's.

I've never used showbiz so I don't know what you can do, sorry.

The fact is that not all DVD players are created equal.

Does the disc work on your computer?

Yes, try it in your comptuer. I do know that some DVD players don't like to recognize the -R format of dvd-r's. The playstation may not like it either. If you were using -R DVD's, then try using +R's instead. Try to stay away from DVDRW's....just my personal opinion!

When burning a mix of music and video, try burning it as a "data dvd" instead of a music dvd. Not sure if that'll help with playing it on a playstation, but it should make it easier to play on a computer.

If all else fails, put all the music on one CD and all the videos on another CD.

Ohhhh....sorry, I misunderstood...I thought you were burning both!

Glad it worked for you. You are probably right, it might've been something as simple as a mistake, or missed a button or something of that sort! At least it's working now

from what I have found the PS2 is not ur ideal DVD player for homemade discs. My friends PS2 might just be old and filled with dust bunnies, but it is terrible with some compilation CDs he has made, and I make some DVDs w/ menus's and the works in Nero's NVE and it does weird stuff like pause to think it over for a sec(really annoying) or make weird color blurring in some camera cuts or scene changes(none of which happen on my comp). I even tried rendering with nothing running but NVE (not even explorer) and burning at 2x to minimize any factor to make an error in encoding and burning
