Hi there, I recently began seeing ads everywhere, and i mean everywhere, on web pages in chrome. People's fb profiles are filled with them, even here on this forum random words are hyperlinked with 'free ipad 2' type ads when you hover the cursor over them. I know I can put on an ad block but it's unnerving that it is still there. Was wondering if anyone could offer some help with this as i'm unsure as to how to rid my laptop of this. Thanks in advance for any replies!

resolved this myself, as simple as removing a V-codec extension that had somehow gotten into my chrome.
