Hello!
I made a lot of scans:
MBAM Pro, SAS Pro, Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, SmitFraudFix, FreeFixer, TDSSKiller, Trojan Remover, HijackThis, Norman Malware Cleaner (which detects everytime a modified registry value:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{random} --> NameServer from '193.231.252.221 213.154.124.221' to '8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4' ) and many others.
Problems: Firefox starts with 2 windows and open multiple tabs, Windows Explorer open in double windows, exe files open by single mouse click instead of two clicks, no sound only in Facebook and Youtube, BSOD sometimes, SFC doesn't run, ...
Only ComboFix detected the rootkit in Reg Loading Points but in Startup there is nothing.
Please help me to analyze this log and to use CFScript.txt
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer!

I am HelpBot: an automated program designed to help the Bleeping Computer Staff better assist you! This message contains very important information, so please read through all of it before doing anything.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

To help Bleeping Computer better assist you please perform the following steps:

***************************************************

Posted Image In order to continue receiving help at BleepingComputer.com, YOU MUST tell me if you still need help or if your issue has already been resolved on your own or through another resource! To tell me this, please click on the following link and follow the instructions there.

CLICK THIS LINK >>> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/logreply/460815 <<< CLICK THIS LINK

If you no longer need help, then all you needed to do was the previous instructions of telling me so. You can skip the rest of this post. If you do need help please continue with Step 2 below.

***************************************************

Posted Image If you still need help, I would like you to post a Reply to this topic (click the "Add Reply" button in the lower right hand of this page). In that reply, please include the following information:

  • If you have not done so already, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.
  • A new DDS and GMER log. For your convenience, you will find the instructions for generating these logs repeated at the bottom of this post.
    • Please do this even if you have previously posted logs for us.
    • If you were unable to produce the logs originally please try once more.
    • If you are unable to create a log please provide detailed information about your installed Windows Operating System including the Version, Edition and if it is a 32bit or a 64bit system.
    • If you are unsure about any of these characteristics just post what you can and we will guide you.
  • Please tell us if you have your original Windows CD/DVD available.
  • Upon completing the above steps and posting a reply, another staff member will review your topic and do their best to resolve your issues.

Thank you for your patience, and again sorry for the delay.

***************************************************

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links if you no longer have it available. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE

We also need a new log from the GMER anti-rootkit Scanner.

Please note that if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows, you should not bother creating a GMER log.

Please first disable any CD emulation programs using the steps found in this topic:

Why we request you disable CD Emulation when receiving Malware Removal Advice

Then create another GMER log and post it as an attachment to the reply where you post your new DDS log. Instructions on how to properly create a GMER log can be found here:

How to create a GMER log

As I am just a silly little program running on the BleepingComputer.com servers, please do not send me private messages as I do not know how to read and reply to them! Thanks!

Hello!
Of course I still need help because siszyd32.exe appears only in Reg Loading Points of ComboFix.

Problems: every file I open appears in 2 windows
-Firefox starts with 2 windows - last session + one blank and when I close the blank, both windows are closed
-Firefox open multiple new tabs with one click
-Word file opens in 2 windows: one good + one blank with a message title "File in Use": .doc is locked for editing by "user"
-exe files open with single mouse click instead of 2 clicks!!
-a single click in a text select the word without my intention
-can't use "Rename" with right click
-can't use "drag & drop" because a selected file opens without my intention
Conclusion: every single click seems to act like a double click

I had problems with GMER log because after 4 hours it was still running...
I tried 3 times to run GMER and last time I checked only "Sections" and "C"

Thanks a lot for your help!

Greetings and Welcome to The Forums!!

My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

I have put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier and faster for both of us

  • Please do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.
    • We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability.
  • Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.
    • Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Also, attachments require us to download and open the reports when it is easier to just read the reports in your post.
  • Please read every post completely before doing anything.
    • Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process.
  • Please provide feedback about your experience as we go.
    • A short statement describing how the computer is working helps us understand where to go next, for example: I am still getting redirected, the computer is running normally, etc. Please do not describe the computer as "the same", this requires the extra step of looking back at your previous post.
NOTE: At the top of your post, click on the Watch Topic Button, select Immediate Notification, and click on Proceed. This will send you an e-mail as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing us to resolve the issue faster.

NOTE: Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of hartaches if things don't go as planed. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer.

NOTE: It is good practice to copy and paste the instructions into notepad and print them in case it is necessary for you to go offline during the cleanup process. To open notepad, navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad. Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions.

Security Check

  • Download Security Check by screen317 from here.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

Run Combofix:

You may be asked to install or update the Recovery Console (Win XP Only) if this happens please allow it to do so (you will need to be connected to the internet for this)

Before you run Combofix I will need you to turn off any security software you have running, If you do not know how to do this you can find out >here< or >here<

Combofix may need to reboot your computer more than once to do its job this is normal.

You can download Combofix from one of these links.
Link 1
Link 2
Link 3
1. Close any open browsers or any other programs that are open.
2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a report for you.

Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

Note 2: If you recieve an error "Illegal operation attempted on a registery key that has been marked for deletion." Please restart the computer

"information and logs"

  • In your next post I need the following
  • Log from Combofix
  • let me know of any problems you may have had
  • How is the computer doing now?

Hello!

Thanks a lot for your reply.

No trouble running ComboFix, siszyd32.exe is still in Reg Loading Points.

My computer has problems:
-Firefox starts with 2 windows - last session + one blank
-Word file opens sometimes in 2 windows: one with text + one grey
-exe files (but also other files) open with a single mouse click instead of 2 clicks
-when I write a text in gmail, a single click somewhere selects the word or the whole text without my intention
-I use hardly "drag & drop" because the selected file opens without my intention

Here are the logs:

Hello,

I had problems running these two programs.
TDSSKiller scanned only 25 seconds with result "No infection found".
But in log said "Scan interrupted by user!".
"User" is the name from Office 2003 and Word files have problems (open with 2 windows).
I tried to run in safe mode with the same result:

Greetings

At this time I would like you to run this script for me and it is a good time to check out the computer to see if there is anything else that needs to be addressed.

:Run CFScript:

Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the box into the window:

ClearJavaCache::

Registry::
[-HKLM\~\startupfolder\C:^Documents and Settings^adi^Start Menu^Programs^StartUp^siszyd32.exe]

Save it to your desktop as CFScript.txt

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe
Posted Image
This will let ComboFix run again.
Restart if you have to.
Save the produced logfile to your desktop.

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Note 2: If you recieve an error "Illegal operation attempted on a registery key that has been marked for deletion." Please restart the computer

"information and logs"

  • In your next post I need the following

  • report from Combofix
  • let me know of any problems you may have had
  • How is the computer doing now after running the script?

Hello,

Thanks again.
This Notepad was exactly I expected (I tried CFScript by myself in the past but without "ClearJavaCache::")

It was difficult to drag and drop Notepad file into ComboFix because the file opens every time I put the mouse on it.
Finally I had success.

The new log does not contain anymore siszyd32.exe in Reg Loading Points.

But the problems remain the same:
- exe files, Word files and folders open with a single mouse click instead of 2 clicks
- "drag & drop" is difficult because the selected file is opening immediatly
- doc file starts sometimes with 2 windows: name.doc + grey window with message "File In Use": name.doc is locked for editing by "user" ("user" is my name from Word 2003)
- in Firefox appear multiple new tabs instead of one
- when I write a text in gmail, a single click somewhere selects the word or the whole text without my intention

Here is the log:

Greetings

- exe files, Word files and folders open with a single mouse click instead of 2 clicks - Have you tried to chage this in control panel --> mouse ? If so try again

Lets get a deeper look into the system and see if something shows up.

Download and run OTL

Download OTL by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click on OTL.exe to run it.
  • Under Output, ensure that Minimal Output is selected.
  • Under Extra Registry section, select Use SafeList.
  • Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
  • Click on Run Scan at the top left hand corner.
  • When done, two Notepad files will open.
    • OTL.txt <-- Will be opened and the that I need posted back here
    • Extra.txt <-- Will be minimized - save this one on your desktop in case I ask for it later
  • Please post the contents of OTL.txt in your next reply.

Hello again,

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Of course I tried to fix mouse in Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - General - Select double click.
Now, in Mouse - Double click speed, I put the marker in the middle (it was on Slow, but never had trouble with this).
It seems a little better now but not everytime.
Anyway, Firefox starts with 2 windows and one click opens 3-4 new tabs.

Here is the log:

Hello

Yes it looks like the DNS settings on the router have been changed.

After you have run these steps - you need to let me know how the computer is doing

Resetting Router

  • This can be done by inserting something tiny like a paper clip end or pencil tip into a small hole labeled "reset" located on the back of the router.
  • Press and hold down the small button inside until the lights on the front of the router blink off and then on again (usually about 10 seconds).
  • If you donít know the router's default password, you can look it up. Here
  • You also need to reconfigure any security settings you had in place prior to the reset.
  • You may also need to consult with your Internet service provider to find out which DNS servers your network should be using or you can use OpenDNS
Note: After resetting your router, it is important to set a non-default password, and if possible, username, on the router. This will assist in eliminating the possibility of the router being hijacked again.

flush the DNS:

Now lets flush the DNS on the computer:

  • click on Start
  • select run
  • enter cmd and hit enter
  • a black window will open.
  • please enter the following text into that window and hit enter:

    ipconfig /flushdns

Now lets check the router again

Create and Run Batch File
Open Notepad and copy/paste the entire contents of the codebox below, into Notepad:
@echo off
>Log1.txt (
ipconfig /all
nslookup google.com
nslookup yahoo.com
ping -n 2 google.com
ping -n 2 yahoo.com
route print
)
start Log1.txt
del %0
Save this as router.bat Choose to Save type as - All Files and where to save - Desktop - then close the Notepad file.

It should look like this: Posted Image <--XP
Double-click on router.bat to run it. it will open notepad when done please post back the results
