internet options in tools

Hello everyone i have a problem, with internet explorer 8 when i go to tools and click on internet options all that happens is a millasecond flash in the left corner of my screen. i have asked this question in other forums but no help thanks

Did you try reinstalling Internet explorer?

Press Windows+ R key and type

appwiz.cpl and click ok

Can you check if you have Windows internet explorer 8

Also let me know if you have the REMOVE option

Click on REMOVE,and you should get a warning,click on YES

After uninstall,restart the PC,this should rollback your IE version to 7

Download IE 8

Install it

I found out what it could be yellow ! mark on the liteon dvd burner should i dissable it or uninstall it to try the removal procedure again?

i uninstalled the drive and removed it and then tried to remove i/e 8 got the same blue screen but this time i can't get i/e to boot at all . I am using crome to reply

No problem,

go to C:\program files\Internet explorer -delete the folder

If you receive access denied on any specific file ignore it

Now go to C:\windows

Delete any IE updates folder.

Restart the PC

Download and install IE 8

Let me know how it goes
