Hello :o
I just woke up this morning turned on my PC and boom.. Malware blocked (win 32 Malware-gen ) steamerrorreporter.exe is this a false positive? I have steam and had it for ages and Avast just pops up o.o

OK, I just sign up to answer this question. I just got this message also. I've since deleted that file since avast detected. its a system file and cannot be moved.

I haven't started up steam yet.

Also Just a side note i recently just formatted and i have barley visited any websites yet. So I'm thinking its a bug in the Avast Update.

- Edit While i just completely rescanned the drive i found that the file wasn't deleted.
