what is the operating system folder for windows 95? I would like to make sure that they exist in the primary hard drives, because when I startup, i get a lot of errors, including:

- enhanced IDE controller not found
- bus master device driver not installed
- the following file is missing or corrupted: C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS

would it be a "windows" folder on one of the hard drives that I should be looking for?

Yes, as far as i remember from the old days of windows 95, C:\WINDOWS is the primary OS folder. Anything inside it was "off the limits" because it was very sensitive. Any and all mistake would cause windows not to boot up

you need to install drivers and get a new copy of himem.sys
