Tami confirmed that Windows 8 is on track to Release to Manufacturing (RTM) the first week of August
Tami went on to say that Windows 8 will reach general availability by the end of October! This means that new Windows 8 and Windows RT PCs will be available to buy and upgrades will be available starting in October

Saw that on arstechnica.com as well. Given previous statements, that may be when the Surface RT releases as well!

Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8 and Windows RT, are the three edition of the Windows 8 operating system. Windows 8 and Windows 8 pro are designed for the PCs where as Windows RT is developed for the metro Arm-based applications, such as tablets. second trial version is released and yes these versions will be in the market at the end of October. waiting for it eagerly.

its Windows 8 and Windows 8 Enterprise. im running win8 enterprise x86 full version [from a TechNet subscription I have ]on a 5 year old Dell sff OptiPlex 745 3 gig ram duel core 2.13 and it seems to be running great so far,starting to get use to the new start screen
