Hi. Yesterday, while I was searching on Google, I started getting redirected to different sites, including click.get-answers-fast.com, services-search.me, r.looksmart.com, mcengine.com, etc. A lot of these sites didn't really have ads or anything on them. At first, I didn't realize that something was wrong until I discovered that I was infected by the Security Shield virus. Luckily, I was able to remove Security Shield, but I still get redirected when I do searches. I only get redirected now and then, not every time I click on a search result. No problems have really occurred, but I'm concerned that I may have gotten the Google Redirect Virus. I've tried various ways to get rid of this virus, but nothing has worked. I'm not sure if this is because I have not done the removal processes properly or because I may not even have the virus. After having tried to fix this issue myself and realizing that nothing is working, I decided to seek professional help and that is why I am here. My computer runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and I have Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus, which, by the way, has not detected any threats on my computer.
**I may not respond to replies for some time because I will be away for about four days and will not bring my computer with me. However, any help would still be appreciated.
