Windows 7 Pro 64bit
The computer has been running strange for about a month (ie. random applications will lock up, internet explorer will hang, etc.) I installed MalwareBytes to run a quick test and that is when I noticed the issue with it closing after a few seconds.

I've run a LOT of scans, tools, etc. but nothing has been "found" - I have attached the DDS report. I did not run GMER since we are on a 64bit OS.

Hello rheide1 and welcome to Bleeping Computer!

I am D-FRED-BROWN and I will be helping you. :)

Please print or save this topic. It will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.

----------Step 1----------------
Please download the TDSS Rootkit Removing Tool (TDSSKiller.exe) and save it to your Desktop. <-Important!!!
  • Double-click on TDSSKiller.exe to run the tool for known TDSS variants.
Vista/Windows 7 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
  • If TDSSKiller does not run, try renaming it.
