Windows defender is telling me I have Sirefef.an. I used Malwarebytes and it found a couple and removed them. WD kept saying i had it but Malwarebytes stopped detecting it. After running a number of spyware programs, I eventually stopped getting notifications from WD.

BUT, I noticed that animated gifs stopped working, so I went into advanced options and found multimedia animation had been unclicked so i fixed that and lo and behold...WD starts telling me again I have Sirefef. Malwarebytes tells me Im still clean and I have no other symptoms so the question is...

...should I just ignore Windows Defender?

Nevermind ignoring it. It was changing internet tool options. I did a system restore to a week ago and am doing another Malwarebytes scan. We'll see if that worked.
