iTunes will not execute

Hi. I have Windows 7, Service Pack 1. iTunes will not launch at all on my computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it still will not launch (which is weird, because it used to, and I haven't added much other software that would suggest incompatibility issues...the only thing I added recently was Microsoft Security Essentials). Would appreciate anyone's assistance..
