i think in either browser its a time consuming task ,unless you want to delete everyone of them .
open browser go to bookmarks and right click and delete one at a time

or for IE browser go here
C:\Users\your user name\Favorites, open the folder and delete the ones you don't want .

in firefox go to bookmarks /show all bookmarks ,and you can delete them there single or in groups , to delete in groups high lite the first one ,hold down the shift key click the last one in the group

You don't have to delete them one at a time...you merely have select all then either unselect the one ones which you want to keep...and hit Delete button to eliminate the rest.

The key is knowing which ones you want to keep.

You can even copy the Favorites folder to another partition...just in case you make a mistake or change your mind.

You could the same exercise with your Cookies folder.

Or in the favorites folder in IE you hold down the ctrl key and click on the ones you wish to delete. Then you right click on 1 and choose delete.
