Hi back on line now, can you believe it some one nicked the copper from the phone lines that's why no internet for 2 weeks anyway just had to get that of my chest. My printer is working but every time I switch my laptop off I lose my printer.I went on Device and printer tried to add printer I got a message windows can't open "Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine" so I found out what to do

1.
Open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Administrative Tools.
2.
Double-click Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.
Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Properties.
4.
On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
5.
If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Start, and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

But every time I switch it to automatic my printer works fine, however when I turn turn the laptop off I lose the connection to the printer again. do you have any solutions? ps its not saving what i do what am i missing
