At the end of my other thread I indicated that if my wireless MS mouse went, it was probably less hassle to just get a new keyboard AND mouse combo (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic459285.html/page__gopid__2754164#entry2754164).

Thus, if it does come to the mouse finally crapping out, can I get some recommendations for a new wireless keyboard & mouse?

I am really not into gaming, so I don't need a "Mighty Mouse" kind of set up. I need a decent optical mouse and keyboard for the usual biz programs and some digital photo editing.

My o/s is Vista Business and I work from my desktop which has a slide-out keyboard ledge. Since my desk is glass & metal, I'm using a mouse pad.

Thanks in advance for any info,

My personal combo favorite is the Logitech Cordless Desktop® MX™ 5500 Revolution

You can sometimes find it on sale online for about $100-$125 USD

But if you want a set that now uses the 'unifying' Logitech receiver. Which is just like custom building a combo. I went with:

Performance Mouse MX™

And

Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800

One other thought..........

You might want to think about being sure the signal between the Keyboard and the receiver is encrypted. I do not think that is the case on the cheap wireless sets.

I also use Logitech.
