My computer started acting strange yesterday. It was slow and froze sometimes, although i could still access the internet. I tried a system restore and found that it slightly worked. My computer was faster and didn't freeze. I downloaded the malwarebytes anti-malware to try to remove a possible virus affecting my computer after finding that I couldn't access system restore or "help and support" anymore after restoring to a previous date for some reason. I click on both of them, it shows the hourglass symbol next to my mouse pointer, but nothing appears. Another strange phenomenon is that my computer opens a new tab and loads any new website I access from google. Also, on youtube, every video pauses at the 0:11 mark. Does anyone know what's wrong with my computer? I can ignore it, since I mainly use my computer for internet access, but I still find this strange. Anyone experience anything similar to this before?

MalwareBytes is not an anti virus app. Do you have an AV installed and if so have you run a full scan with it? If you suspect malware you should post in the Am I Infected forum.

Should I move this to the other forum then? That's another problem actually, I have mcafee installed on my computer, but after the system restore, I can't access it either. The same thing as the Help & Support happens when I double click on it. Either a blank box or nothing pops up.
