Okay, they're all over the place. This could be anything from malware to ram to a major hardware issue.

First, if you are using readyboost please disable it and/or remove the thumb drive.

1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

2) Please run a full system scan with both your av AND with MalwareBytes

3) To check the ram, download memtest (http://memtest.org/). Burn it to a cd using a dedicated .iso burning utility (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm), make sure the cd drive is at the top of the boot order in bios, then boot to the newly created cd and run the utility.

it was zctually a clean OS install and right from the getgo it was creating BSODs. So, it is virus free, I ran a me test using PC Dr as well as windows RAM diag. I'll try memtest.org next though.

Well, since you've provided absolutely no information for me to work with I'm just throwing out the most likely culprits.

You say this is a new install. Did you install ALL drivers, starting with the chipset driver?

ran the memtest and tests passed. The main problem i'm having is that the PC freezes on boot up after being powered off for the night. It freezes at the windows 7 pulse while loading windows. After reboot, everything runs fine. Only on a cold boot does this happen. All drivers have been installed and updated. Is there any more info you may need?

You need to let memtest run for multiple passes over a couple of hours please. Also, please run full scans with both your AV and with MalwareBytes.

it was zctually a clean OS install and right from the getgo it was creating BSODs. So, it is virus free ...

Let's try something ...

Note:
Caused By Driver : mfehidk.sys

That driver belongs to McAfee security software:
  • It is quite possible that McAfee is causing the BSOD issue.
  • Un-install McAfee and then run the McAfee Removal Tool, following the instructions provided at the download site.
Does that have any effect of the BSOD issue?

If you wish/need an alternative antivirus for the time being, or the long term, try one of the following free applications:
  • MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials)
  • Avira
  • avast!
  • AVG Free
(Choose to download either the 32-bit or 64-bit application, depending on whether Windows on your system is 32-bit or 64-bit.)
Ensure that the Windows firewall is enabled.

==============================
If you continue to have BSODs after removing McAfee ... Let's collect some more information: I'll have a look at it and help you try to resolve the problem.

:step1: Please follow the instructions: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 8, 7 & Vista

(Note: When you run BSOD_Windows7_Vista_v2.64_jcgriff2_.exe, it will also run autoruns.exe ... and both need to be in the Documents folder!)
... with one exception to the following line under Step 4:
  • "Create a new thread HERE and attach the file(s)."
The BC forums will allow a total attachment size of only 512 kb (and what you need to attach will exceed this limit).
  • Please upload the zip file to a file sharing website of your choice and and post a link to it in this thread so that we can access your uploaded zip file.
See the suggestions in the following links for recommendations on file sharing websites:
  • http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/15-great-free-online-file-sharing-alternatives/
  • http://www.smashingapps.com/2008/08/28/5-best-free-file-hosting-services-to-store-your-files.html

    I can recommend Posted Image

:step2: Please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy, and post a link to it in this thread.
  • It is a convenient and accurate way of providing us with details of your computer specifications.

:step3: Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.
  • Checkmark the following checkboxes:
    • List Installed Programs
  • Click Go.
When the scan is finished, a text file will open in a Notepad window.
  • Copy the entire contents of the Notepad window, and paste in your reply.
(Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.)
