Hello,

Ok, first of all, some important remarks here.. I see some programs installed that are not recommended and I miss some important software here.

First of all, let's deal with the not recommended software.
I see Viewpoint installed.
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article: http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.
  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player
I also see Bearshare installed.
Bearshare is bundled with spyware... unless you have the paid version. So in case you use the free version, I strongly recommend you uninstall it.
Read here for better alternatives and which ones not to install because they are bundled with spyware:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/p2p/

I also see a program installed called errorkiller. This is a so called registry cleaner with other options. It looks like this is a trial.
This program is rather an unknown program and I can't guarantee if it is safe to use or not. Because there are also a lot of so called registry cleaners which are actually supported by malware..and I see this program is recommended on most sites together with other rogue so called antispywarecleaners which are on the blacklist. That's why I have my doubts here. In case this is a trial and you didn't buy it, I recommend you uninstall it.

Then I see you don't have an antivirus and firewall installed. Any reason?
That's why I want you to install them first.. because otherwise you'll wideopen to (re)infection.

AVG, AntiVirŪ OR Avast are good FREE antivirus.
Never install more than one antivirusscanner or firewall on your system! Several together can give problems and decrease the reliability of it seriously!
Zonealarm, Agnitum Outpost Free OR Kerio are FREE firewalls.

Understanding and using firewalls

After performing above, post a new hijackthislog and please tell me what problems you are exactly having, because I can't do anything with the title of this topic: 'Please help diagnose', I need help and just a hijackthislog.

OK so I continuously run my Ad-Aware program and everytime I scan it finds this registry key called 'Alfa Cleaner', I get rid of it and it continues to come back. Also I connect to the internet from that particular computer wirelessly via a 'linksys wireless-G pci adaptor' and ever since the Alfa cleaner has gotten in my system I can't connect. I think it is because I lost my static IP adress but when I try and access the 'properties' control on my 'Wireless Network Connection', a program error displays this message-

Program Error:
explorer.exe hasgenerated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program
An error log is being created.

and shuts the properties menu down....... Please help.

Hello,

I already asked you to install an antivirus and firewall. Those are simple and very easy instructions to start with.
So please do so! Because without the antivirus and firewall, you are just wideopen to reinfection.

Let your antivirus scan and let it delete everything it is finding.

Reboot afterwards.

Also uninstall Errorsafe, because this one is also getting downloaded/installed via Advertisements.

Then perform next:
Download and Save blacklight to your desktop.
F-Secure Blacklight: http://www.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml
Double-click blbeta.exe then accept the agreement.
click > scan then > next,
You'll see a list of all items found.
Don't choose for rename yet! I want to see the log first, because legit items can also be present there...
There must be also a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers)
Post the contents of the log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
