Can I hotswap capture sources?

This is kind of complicated but please try to understand what I am looking for.

I am wanting to be able to hotswap (preferably with a key) what my computer is recognizing as being the microphone. I'd like to be able to seamlessly swap between a headset mic and the stereo mix. The point is that way when on TS or Skype or whatever I can send some music down the line every so often.
