Hello there,
My name is polarfakkel, where does it come from? Well I am 62 years and have sailed the seas from 1962 till 1983. In 1977 I became master and had the pleasure of commanding fast clean Polar ships. Transporting fruit or frozen foodstuff. Hence polar.
Since 1984 I work with computers, back then I understood most of the hardware and software. Now however, specially since the introduction of Windows I do not try anymore to understand it and simply ask around when something mysteriously does not work the way I want. I still build computers, as hardware seems easier to put together.
I think this is enough for the monent.

Windows is indeed a great abyss. Some of the members have gone down in diving towers, so they can help by sharing their experience and expertise.
Welcome to BC!

John
