Hi, hopefully someone on here can shed some light on this latest issue. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T400 running a fresh install of Win7 Pro x64 with SP1. I did the clean install as normal, getting necessary drivers from Lenovo and leaving the rest to Windows. In the past this has worked well.

This time I am having an issue where resuming from sleep or hibernate takes longer than starting the system from shutdown. Looking at the event logs it seems to be driver related. I open the lid, press the power button, and I get nothing other than a power light, no HDD access light as usual. This usually takes quite a while. Once I get to the logon screen, it is unresponsive to both password and fingerprint reader. It sits like that for a while and than after logging on everything works fine.

The machine has ran Norton Internet Security 2012 from day 1 and I have no reason to believe that this is malware related.

I have saved the "Diagnostics-Performance" section of event viewer an EVTX file which should be attached to this post. It will open in event viewer.

Thanks in advance and please let me know if you need more info.

EDIT: It says I am not permitted to upload this kind of file? I have uploaded it to MS SkyDrive instead.

Please run this command in a administrative prompt

Run sfc /scannow

Hal.dll and Bootmgr are the files that bring the computer out of hibernation mode

See if that helps the issue

Please run this command in a administrative prompt

Run sfc /scannow

Hal.dll and Bootmgr are the files that bring the computer out of hibernation mode

See if that helps the issue

Hi, thanks for the reply as well. Here's what I get:

C:\Users\Hunter>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Bump.

I cleared the logs to see the most recent standby delays, and interestingly enough out of the 6 problematic drivers, 4 of them are microsoft drivers, and the other two are Conexant and Intel. (Audio and Ethernet, respectively)

Drivers are: usbhub, usbehci, usbuhci, kbdclass, e1yexpress, CnxtHDAudService

I'm not really sure how to proceed at this point. I have ran seemingly every diagnostic possible, everything to do with hardware passes.
