Hi!

I found your site this morning. I'm trying to follow your instructions: Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help

Every time I run DDS.scr on my workstation running Windows XP latest version, it produces 15+ #-signs, then my computer reboots.

WHY is this happening?

HOW can I complete DDS.scr?

Please, advise. Thank you.

Hi!

No.

That other post is about my friend's laptop.

This DDS post is about my computer. I thought that I should check my own stuff with your tools, too

Thank you.

If you can't run DDS try this....

Download OTL to your Desktop.

  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows: OTL.txt and Extras.txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them back here.

Do NOT post OTL log here.
