Really aggravating issue that i have never seen before. i have a desktop that suddenly stopped connecting to the wireless network. i tried all the common fixes restarting the router (also restored factory defaults when this didm't work) reseating the wireless pci card. resetting everything i could think of winsock tcpip stack arp cache flushing dns. deleting the hosts file and replacing it with a fresh unedited copy etc. to add insult to injury the desktop connects just fine when i brought it to work and logged into the office router. and heres the kicker there are 2 other laptops that connect just fine to the home network.

what it will do is connect to the router but it will show that it sent data packets but gets only 1 packet recieved every 10 seconds or so.

Impossible...the desktop/networking device works when attached to different router, while the router works fine with other systems.

If Windows, drivers, or the card was at fault...it would not work in a different locale.

If the router was at fault, other systems would have same/similar difficulties.

Unless you have an intermittent/inconsistent problem on your system.

There was no log requested...if you read the instructions, that should have resulted in the posting of a link.

Please try again to post the link...log formats are vexing, difficult to read while a link makes it easy for all members to see.

Thanks :).

I don't see anything other than the obvious in your MiniToolbox log...you have networking problems but I cannot determine the nature, extent or cure for such.

Others here can, await their feedback on such.

well i figured it out. the wireless card was going bad or at least part the part in charge of handling the antenna. the difference between work and the computers original location was the distance between the router and the computer. the router at my office was less than 5 feet away from the desktop and the router in the house was about 20-30 feet through at least 2 walls. but when i took the desktop at work and moved it across the room from the router lo and behold it couldn't connect. so apparently it is suffering from severely reduced range changing the antenna didn't work but replacing the card made it connect again. but what can cause a working card to suddenly experience reduced signal strength. usually it works or burns out never had one slowly get weaker.
