My computer turns on but nothing shows up on the montior. When I power on the pc I don't even hear the beeps. The fan to the power supply is moving. I put in a new video card and change the RAM. I even took the battery out and put in a differnet one. I am lost. Can any one please help me?

1) Are you certain the display is working (have you either tried a different display or tried the display in question on a different system)?
2) Assuming the display is working it could be anything from a bad power supply (first guess) to a bad motherboard. VERY difficult to diagnose remotely.

One time this happened and because it was set for dual display, I had to press the F4 (on my laptop anyway,
a compaq presario) and it came on. Having mentioned this to a friend, he said, something similar happened
and he had kids on his laptop and they must have pressed the "dimming" key for the monitor. Check your
keyboard for something that looks like a monitor and plus key and try that, worth a shot anyway.
