hi there

I am running win 7 Pro, and use Firefox as my browser. Today I contracted a virus/trojan called "updating app Codec-V"

I use AVG and MSE, and several antispyware and malware programs to, but none of them caught this, and I can't seem to be able to remove it.

May I kindly ask how to remove it please?

kindest thanks, cheers

Hello, we will need a deeper look to see it then we can remove this.

Please go here....Preparation Guide ,do steps 6-9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9 which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
If GMER won't run (it may not on a 64 bit system) skip it and move on.

Let me know if that went well.
