Help! I got the pop up today I didn't try to exit out of it. I just left the message on the screen I'm guessing because of that my internet is still working.

Edit: Moved topic from Vista to the more appropriate forum. I also deleted the duplicate of this topic from the malware log forum since no logs are included. ~ Animal

It was two pop ups with the same message "windows antivirus 2012 has found critical process activity". I knew it was a rogue message so I didn't exit out it because I knew it would lead to the fake security scan. However, I would like to prevent it from popping up again.

* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
