:o Hi i'm hoping someone can help me with this. I've been doing a repair on a ASUS X5DC laptop. The system was corrupted and it needed a fresh install of Windows 7, however the cd/dvd drive does'nt work so i took out the hard drive and put it into another laptop i had and did the fresh install of the OS. When i put the hard drive back into the ASUS it started to boot up but then I got a BSOD with error code 0x0000007B (0x80786B50,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000. i've never had this problem before so don't know how ot resolve it. I think for some reason the Bios is'nt recognising the hard drive but am not sure of this. Can anyone help????????????? thanks

You cannot install Windows on one system, put the hd in another system and expect it to work. It will NOT - unless the two systems are 100% identical.
