Morning everyone.

Got a 18 month old HP Pavilion G6 that won't power up / on.

Did the lamp test - making sure the outlet I was plugging into was working (it is) and also checked the power cord itself on another HP laptop (it worked also).

Popped the battery out, tried to start it - no go.

Put that battery back in and tried to start it - no go.

Another item of note, when the tested/working power cord in plugged in, there are none of the standard blinking "yes I'm charging" lights anywhere on the unit.

This laptop has had very little use, is very clean and hasn't been dropped or abused...so I'm guessing the PSU, but thought it best to at least get some feedback from the Forums.

Ideas / thoughts / links / feedback / coffee?

I'll be in and out all day, thanks in advance for any help.

hamluis, good morning and thanks for the link & response.

Walked my way through all the troubleshooting ideas listed there but alas, the laptop is still a no go.

If it were a desktop, I might consider trouble shooting / attempting to fix a PSU issue, but with laptops...well, this noob isn't quite that brave yet.

Will probably have to reach out to some retail outlet as the L/T is no longer under warranty.

Thanks again for the help and we'll see you in the Forums.
