Cannot remove IOBit files/folders. They do not show up in the list of programs in the add/remove programs in the control panel. I found an uninstall file in one of the folders, but it only partially deleted the files. The other folders cannot be deleted because they are 'write protected' and are not accessable.

Deleting files...is not the way to go, the registry entries probably also remain.

I'd try Revo Uninstaller, after reinstalling the program.

Hi -
Visit this site, or follow the links provided >> http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/
Item #17 IObit > Info > Tool (Note: Cleans left-overs after a normal uninstall)
This is a Non Vendor tool designed by expert Fred de Vries to fully remove IObit after a normal uninstall.
IObit uninstaller alone will never remove the programs it makes - You may need to run this program twice to fully clear the junk out -

I have used this site often to remove programs such as IObit, and other programs.
It pays to bookmark this site for future complete removal of all security software and other Apps that are hard to remove -

Good luck -
